About the Role

As a Sales & Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of the company. You will be responsible for sponsorship sales, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and fostering strategic partnerships to elevate our brand presence and market position.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing a business development strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and growth targets.

  • Conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends, industry dynamics, and potential business opportunities within the market.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance brand loyalty and foster long-term collaborations.

  • Collaborating with the internal team to prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to the unique needs and preferences of prospective clients.

  • Collaborating with the internal teams to develop strategies for penetrating new markets.

  • Negotiating leads, pricing discussions, and contract agreements to ensure mutually beneficial terms and conditions for all parties involved.

  • Developing and implementing sales plans to achieve targets and objectives.

  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Identifying and engaging with prospective clients, including relevant private and public organizations, sponsors, vendors, and venues, to secure new business partnerships and opportunities.

  • Providing regular reports on sales performance and market intelligence to senior management.

  • Representing the company at industry events and conferences and networking functions to build brand awareness, expand professional networks, and stay acquainted with industry trends and best practices.

  • Collaborating with the operations team to provide strategic input and support in the planning, execution, and delivery of events and projects, ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction.

  • Continuously updating knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and technologies.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. 

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • An existing network of clients and stakeholder connections.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM software.

  • Experience in the sports sector.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed.
